Karl the Barber says it's time to Stand Up, Open Up, and Show Up

Karl Manke has been cutting hair in Michigan since 1961, and he's not about to let tyrannical government orders keep him from doing what he loves.

Today is #FreedomFriday, and Karl is calling on all Americans to Stand Up, Open Up, and Show Up.

Karl received national media attention after refusing to shut down the shop he's spent the last 60 years building. A judge recently ruled that he can stay open, but the state attorney general plans to appeal the ruling.

"I want to send out a message to the other barbers, beauticians, and massage therapists to Stand Up, Open Up, and Show Up in this state," he said. "We need to get back to business. We need to get back to our lives."

Karl isn't alone. All across the country, Americans have committed to Standing Up to draconian stay-at-home orders, Opening Up their small businesses, and Showing Up to support those businesses.
