Guess this didn't work. The article about Professor Lockdown who had to resign because he couldn't lock himself down. His model was 90%off anyway, which is a bizarreargin of error.
Oh is that about Dr. Neil Ferguson? TBH, the only 2 things surprising here is that he actually managed to get above 1% accuracy unlike many of his previous predictive models. And that he actually had to resign. Good riddance IMHO.
Even if his models were garbage, people believed them and among other things his models lead to the needles slaughter of over 6,000,000 animals...
The irony is the man responsible for the lockdown because of his model didn't take it serious enough to isolate. It's so bizarre. Can't believe this happened.
@terrybdesign Well when previous predictions were as low as six then thousandths of one percent for accurate (like back in the good old days of the bird flu) I think anyone with any intelligence wouldn't put too much stock in the models - even if that person is the creator. I guess it just goes to show that these people care more about the fame and prestige that comes with the job than they do about consequences or accuracy.
At least he's finally gone, but sadly I doubt this will stop the Imperial college from using the same models in the future and we'll probably continue to see these sorts of wild predictions regardless of whether he's there or not.
The whole thing has been off .I'm not saying it's not dangerous I have a friend in ICU right now 40's 2 kids no pre exsisting health issues they just put her on the vent. But these DR.'s think their be all know all but actually all they can do is give an estimate of possibilities. I would rather they be honest then puff up their chest and give a bunch of BS they have no clue about
I hope your friend makes a quick recovery! And I hope that her doctors are at least open to possibilities like hydroxychloroquine as treatment possibilities if things start to get worse (I've heard some reports of doctors refusing to administer it just because a president that they hate recommended it and that honestly blows my mind).
I've read what happens to people that get COVID-19 really bad and it's a very very scary disease that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. So whenever I hear that anyone got sick enough to be hospitalized it breaks my heart and makes me thankful that the death rate is so much lower than the MSM is trying to convince everyone of.
Anyways, I can't say it enough but... I really really hope your friend recovers fully and quickly from this.
