Personally I'm not bothered either way on this as there's good arguments for both wearing and not wearing masks.
The pros for wearing masks is that if you have the virus and don't yet have symptoms it can prevent the spread to others. (which is the US argument for wearing masks)
The cons for wearing masks is that most masks being worn / sold are about as effective as a chain link fence at keeping mosquitoes out of your back yard. Improper handling of masks can actually increase your likelihood of coming into contact with germs as well. And prolonged mask wearing can actually lead to medical complications due to extra strain on the lungs and reduced oxygen flow over extended periods.
My opinion is that people should educate themselves on the pros and cons, take stock of their environment and the risk factors of those living around them and make a choice for themselves to wear or not to wear masks. And then not insult or attack people that didn't come to the same conclusion as them.
I agree, but I think its actually worse to wear a mask. I feel those who are sick should if they go out. I cant wear one due to medical reasons. But my husband does.
