I posted this on my Facebook page today, but I want to share it here at Open the States too, so it won't be censored and so, if this truly is as widespread as it appears to be, more people have a place to speak up about what they're witnessing.
I've wanted to share this personal testimony, but hesitated, for 4-5 weeks… I heard it directly from an eyewitness, a close friend who I completely trust is being truthful… but when I tell it to you, it becomes hearsay, right? So I haven’t said anything, even though I have been deeply troubled by this, and have been praying for people to find out the truth about it. But now that I'm hearing in this video the EXACT SAME TESTIMONY—from thousands of miles away—that confirms what my friend is witnessing, I'm sharing everything I know, to give you some confirmation that she’s not making this up, and to let you know that it’s NOT just in New York City.
Our very good friend works with COVID patients inside the ICU at one of the top hospitals in Dallas (our first three children were born there). He's a Christian, so he trusts God, and is doing his best truly to care for COVID patients with the specialty procedure he performs, even though that requires him to get up close and personal with them. But he is deeply troubled, because the nurses and doctors who are working in the ICU full time, in his words, are NOT giving COVID patients good care.
There are very few cases of COVID in Dallas, so the information in this video about numbers of nurses/vents/patients is different from how it is in Dallas, but the information about how care is being given is EXACTLY the same. IV lines are being run 15' out of the room, under the door. Even if a patient codes, doctors and nurses should not rush in to help them, but should "take their time getting garbed up" (which takes a very long time, because it's so much extra garb). The patients are not being given treatment with c-pap machines or the normal things they really need, but only ventilators, which are risky and can cause harm and even death. And, in the words of the doctor administering ventilators at this major, really nice Dallas hospital, they do not expect ANY patients to survive once they go on a vent; they're just waiting for these patients to die. With that kind of “care”, is it any surprise?
New York City. Dallas, Texas. Same story. Why is this happening? In Dallas, the hospital administrators are directing for "care" to be given in this way. And the doctors and nurses are terrified of catching COVID. And on top of that, the patients aren't allowed to have any visitors, so there is no one there to advocate for them. Our friend and his wife know that, because he is working closely with COVID patients, their family is likely to catch this bug, and they have done their research, so they know it's nothing more than a nasty flu, as far as dangers to their family's health go... but they are worried about catching it, because he has seen personally that if they do catch this, and it got bad, they would not receive good medical care. That's what my friend who is working in the ICU with COVID patients is worried about: not COVID itself, but the appalling lack of care COVID patients are getting in the ICU in secret, where no one can see.
