Today I was informed while entering Marysville Costco, Washington, by an employee outside, that beginning May 4, I would be required to wear a mask to shop at the warehouse where I pay a membership fee. I asked if this was a legal step or Costco’s policy, and he replied Costco’s policy. Additionally, on my way out I asked if Costco would prorate and refund my membership free for the duration of the time they are requiring me to wear a mask to enter their store. The customer service employee replied no, but that I was welcome to cancel my membership. Can they enforce this change in policy legally?
