Giving it back is just throwing it away Nancy P will spend it. Give it to your child or grandchild, They will have to pay it back
HI may I offer a suggestion? Do you know anyone who could use it instead? God bless you.
Give the money to someone in need - a restaurant, hairdresser or other small business that is suffering. ALTERNATIVELY, if you received a physical check, NOT cashing it is the same as returning the money.
Unfortunately,it was direct-deposited. The whole idea of returning the money is to, in some minuscule way, lower the deficit and keep this country solvent and not hand-off a financially-doomed country to my kids.
They'll already be paying off everyone else's. Longing for smart conservative leadership in our government!
I feel the same way.
I have used my stimulus check to donate it to my Church's food pantry and to anti-abortion clinics.
If you have an accountant call them & ask what to do. There maybe a address at your state Capitol that handles this kind of thing.
My husband recently passed, I was going to donate his check, but was told they would take it back when I do my income tax for 2020.
😪
Yes if you don't spend it someone else will. Probably a democrate or an illegal alien. Unfortunately we're all gonna have to pay for it later.
At least the ones that work and pay taxes.
