As businesses across the state have been ordered to be closed by the Governor, the state still requires that business taxes be paid on time - April 15th. Since most are not able to pay or even estimate their taxes, they will be charged penalties that will line the state coffers. Even the IRS delayed payments to July 15th! What is wrong with this picture Governor Hutchinson?
Arkansas boasts the 5th highest state taxes in the country, yet is #7 from the bottom of per capita income according to 2018 state data.
As more and more information comes out about the "models" that were used to justify shutting down a $22 TRILLION economy, people are starting to see that this shutdown was totally unnecessary. I started questioning the numbers the first week that the shutdown was put into place. The only numbers that Fauci, Birx and the media were putting out were the number of COVID-19 cases and the number of deaths. You can't get a true morbidity rate unless you know the total number of tests and how many were negative and of the COVID-19 cases, how many recovered. They have since started putting out those numbers and as such people are starting to see the morbidity rate go down exponentially.
This is a test to see how complacent Americans will be in a government take over of our liberties and livelihoods. I hope everyone is waking up to this fact - the bureaucrats in Washington, DC have way too much power and are intent on moving us to a totalitarian form of government.
Greetings from MA. I think you are right. It is a test, and then the illegal mail-in voting will be pushed HARD next. Just say NO. Be careful, and take care of yourselves. God Bless.
I see no comparison of total deaths in the US year to date. Total deaths have been running about 8.8 deaths per 1000 each year. Should be simple to compute the current rate even with the "pandemic"
Right? All deaths counted as Wuhan virus now...
Rahman Emanuel said never let a good crisis go to waste. We see this becoming reality with coronavirus. We see our freedoms and liabilities being trampled on. The American people need to wake up and see what is going on.
Organize a Trump Stand-out. It is easy. Just get a few good people to email their friends, wear Trump hats and hold American flags. Meet on a nice sunny day, wear your masks so the media won't have a reason to complain about you, wave, and smile for a few hours. You'll be surprised how many people honk and wave and smile back.

Open the States movement is doing exactly what your group is proposing to do. I am the State Director for Convention of States Action. We should enjoin our efforts. We are working on an email blast to request that Governor Hutchinson open the state up for business as of May 1, 2020, the same date that Governor Greg Abbott is opening Texas. Please join us in this effort. If you haven't signed the openthestates.com petition, please do so now. You can request that Governor Hutchinson opens Arkansas up for business in the custom area of the petition. Also, please go to connventionofstates.com and sign the petition there. I invite you to volunteer to help the promotion of the liberty for which Convention of States stands.
@jacque.martin I'm so happy to locate you. I'm a new person to COS, I live in Hot
Springs & I need direction. Email me: dsmoon@yahoo.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for providing this format to help us see what is happening in our state government.
We do need the governor to admit he has no power to control our constitutionally guaranteed rights, for those citizens who are not aware. He is our elected servant not our self appointed king. But in all fairness he seems to be more aware of his role than other governors. Thank God I don't live in Michigan...probably be in jail right now.
I would probably be right beside you in jail mr Jack.
There is a protest rally - Open Arkansas - scheduled for this Friday, May 1st, at NOON until 2pm at the Arkansas State Capital. You can drive around the Capital building honking your horn or stand on the mall on the east side of the building. Wear masks and social distance to exhibit responsible self-governance. If you are with Convention of States, where your Self-Governance button. If you don't have one, I will have some on hand. Bring protest signs or flags. Share this with your social media contacts!
I would really like to attend this rally but will not. The Constitution allows for the assembly of the citizens to protest. However to join this protest I have to wear a mask and refrain from shaking my willing neighbor's hand. Is there not a problem here? Even the state government is not requiring the citizens to wear a mask. If the covid-19 is not any worse than some of the previous viruses we have experienced why are we acting like it is? I appreciate you work and wish you success but I think there is a huge inconsistency.
@jgllkg 100% RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!.... I may attend, BUT WITHOUT THE "UNPROVEN" MASK!!!!!!!!!!.... Of course, I will practice "social distancing" as a "moral courtesy"....
You don't have to wear a mask or gloves. Do what you are comfortable with doing! Come to the protest.
We attended the Open the States event in Little Rock May 1st at the capitol and were so proud to be a part. We enjoyed standing with others protesting the continued shutdown of businesses and were glad to see others driving by honking and waving in support. We need to join together to show our governor we want self-governance in our state and country as a whole.

My husband and I moved to Arkansas not that long ago and we are looking to connect with like minded constitutional patriots who love their country and who want to pass it on to their children and grandchildren. We'd really like to know if there are any "Active" conservative groups up in the Bentonville area? We are coming from Nebraska and there is a vibrant group of people who participate in a facebook page where everyone is helping one another. https://www.facebook.com/groups/522261695122356 (It is called, "Nebraskans Against Government Overreach") I've searched FB, is there anything like this in Arkansas? Thank you for any references you can share.
