Yesterday, Governor Asa Hutchinson posted this comment on Facebook: "While it is critical that we continue to go about our daily business, wearing a face covering is vital to stopping the spread of COVID-19. Be sure and wear a face covering when social distancing is not possible to protect those around you from contracting COVID-19."
Note that is states, "WEAR A FACE COVERING WHEN SOCIAL DISTANCING IS NOT POSSIBLE".
I have not been able to get a clear answer as to whether this is an actual law. When the governor was speaking in one of his daily briefings, I noticed that places of business were given "directives" for reopening while places of worship were given "guidelines" for reopening. Guidelines, to me, mean "suggestions"; in other words, not mandatory.
As someone who sometimes has breathing difficulties due to allergies, I do not want to wear a face mask at Church. To me, these masks are unnecessary, dehumanizing, and possibly unhealthy due to limiting our amount of oxygen and breathing back in our own (possibly) germ-filled breath.
I am interested in the thoughts/comments of those on this forum as I have been rudely and hatefully treated by those in my own church for not wearing a mask at the Sunday Mass- even though I was at least 30 feet away from everyone else.
Well, you know how I feel! Face masks are a tool to inspire fear. They prevent herd immunity, they are not effective, and the whole thing is a crock!
God doesn't live in every Church you should find another one
