Population of the US: 330 million
Total Wuhan cases (tested positive) in US: 1 million .003 or 1/3 of 1 percent of the total population have tested positive.
Total hospitalized: 106 thousand .0003 or 1/30th of 1 percent of the total population have been hospitalized.
Total Wuhan deaths in US: 58 thousand .00015 or 1/60th of 1 percent of the total population have died from Wuhan. This number is inflated since CDC rules require cause of death to be listed as Wuhan even if it is not tested for, and not the primary cause of death.
Approximately half of the US cases and deaths come from two states: New York and New Jersey. The rest are divided among the remaining 48. This makes the Arizona risk of infection very low, and of death infinitesimal, unless you are already hanging by a thread.
Worldwide statistics are very similar...hot spots and statistically low death rates. For this we have crushed the global economy, instituted global police states, destroyed the value of money, vanquished free markets forever, and continue even now to wear masks and obey "lockdown" laws that violate every tenet of our Constitution and the rule of law. We do not resist when our neighbors are arrested and taken away. What Country is this? Stand up America, and fight back. It's your last chance.
To put these death numbers into perspective, 50 to 55 thousand people DIE EVERY WEEK from various causes in the United States alone, according to the CDC. Wuhan is almost statistically irrelevant.
Raw case numbers used are from 4-28-2020, https://www.statnews.com/2020/03/26/covid-19-tracker/ and from the US Census Bureau. The rest of the math is mine.
Your math is correct and paints a true picture of what's actually happening. At this point, we know the truth...and it's time to reopen. Anything else is civilizational suicide.
They asked us to flatten the curve... we did. Now they want 14 consecutive days of declining data points? Feeling a little bit like Charlie Brown.
As of May 1...
I dont know where you are getting your numbers, but the AZ dept of heath is not even reporting anywhere near the number of new cases, let alone new INPATIENT CASES, that you are specifying.
Cite your source, like I did. I'm calling fake news.
@leatherneck I don't like it either... just reporting the facts.
Actually, you're right, Leatherneck... these figures represent the total, not new admissions daily. Will adjust that chart immediately. Thanks for noticing!
