It is just as important to thank your House rep for their courage and their trust in us their constituents, if their name is on the list. Let them and your Senator hear from you in either case.
I know mine is probably not. I contacted her and she gave me some canned answer back about how it is Governments JOB to protect us! I promptly said I will agree to disagree with you because it is Government's job to do what is the PEOPLE's CHOICE and it is the job of our MILITARY to protect us. OMG if I really believed it was EVER government's job to protect me - I would have jumped ship years ago!!!😂
Who is your House Rep?
This fallacy of protecting us just isn’t true! they are doing actual harm by keeping us in lockdown. See RestartNow.io
I just looked at the list - NEITHER of mine signed it.
Who are those legislators? We can probably ask others to contact them as well.
I would suggest people contact ALL legislators! There is a YouTube (unless it is taken down by now) that gives a pre-written letter that is EXACTLY what people should be doing. This site is great and all, but sites like this and even protesting is NOT ever going to get the THE PEOPLE what they want (i.e. Constitutional Rights restored)
Check it out and let me know what your thoughts are.

@rebeccacepluch I agree, it's going to take more then protesting. They will just ignore you. It's gone way beyond letters, signs and voting to restore government to the people where it was supposed to be.
I am a new resident in German Village, zip code 43206 My House Rep for Dist 18 is Kristen Boggs, email: Rep18@ohiohouse.gov. My Senator for Dist 15 is Hearscel Craig, phone: 614-466-5131 Both offices are closed but accepting email (Boggs) and voice messages (Craig). Neither of my legislators have joined OpenTheStates group. Looking for like-minded neighbors, hello anybody out there?
We have the same representatives, I have written them both twice. No real response. I wrote the president, Governor and department of Justice. Just keep writing, some one has to listen.
Are you people out there starting to realize that these so-called officials aren't going to listen to you?
Representative democracy might work too slowly for many of us but it does appear to be working in Ohio. Most, but not enough, of our legislators that are attempting to be accountable to the people and are listening. See https://www.cleveland.com/open/2020/05/ohio-house-pass-bill-that-would-decriminalize-violating-coronavirus-health-order.html and https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/496479-ohio-house-passes-measure-to-limit-power-of-state-health-director . Remember to thank the legislators that reacted early and to let your Senator know that this needs to be passed. Passage in the House did not reach a veto-proof majority so contact your House rep and let them know what you think of them if they are passing the buck and not supporting these measures against autocratic and bureaucratic rule in Ohio.
The importance of legislation to require oversight and consent for the executive branch to CONTINUE emergency orders is not lessened as the current restrictions are lifted. I do not know of any legislator suggesting that the executive branch does not need to have initial emergency powers to protect us, only that the power be limited and subject to legislative oversight. The importance of this legislation is not just about the current situation or the current governor and director or health. Regardless of one's opinion of the current governor and health director's actions on the current situation we should be supporting some form of this legislation. Ohioans do not know who might be in power the next time two people decide to take control of the entire state by controlling the determination of what constitutes an emergency as well as what due process and fundamental rights that they care to suspend and restrict. A free and democratic people should not allow the voice of their representatives to be neutered. Let your Senator and House rep know you do not want them to pass the buck and hide behind the governor and state Director of Health. Ask them to empower the legislature to have a role in determining the extension of "emergency" powers, either with this legislation or amended legislation that empowers our legislature to act on our behalf. See https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dispatch.com/news/20200507/dewine-slams-bill-to-curb-dr-amy-actonrsquos-power-gop-lacks-votes-to-override-promised-veto%3ftemplate=ampart .
Then we should make our ancestors proud.
See this link https://abc6onyourside.com/amp/news/local/ohio-senate-bill-would-limit-dr-actons-power-orders for current activity in the Ohio Senate. Let your Senator and House rep know that you want the Ohio Legislature to take responsibility for oversight and time limits on extension of emergency powers. Regardless of how you feel about the current governor and director of health we have no idea who will be in charge the next time there is an excuse for bureaucratic mandate of unnecessary suspension of our civil liberties.
